Diam International announced today that the Planning Board of the City of Yonkers last night approved the building alterations for Diam's proposed lease of a new facility at 555 Tuckahoe Road in Yonkers. The approval clears the way to begin work on re-furbishing the facility for occupancy by the summer of 2004.

"We are pleased with the decision by the Planning Board and grateful for the excellent cooperation we have received in this process from the City of Yonkers and especially Mayor Philip Amicone and the staff at the Office of Economic Development", said William Ecker, CEO and President of Diam International. In addition this facility will accommodate our growth and provide a future headquarters for our International business. We look forward to being in Yonkers for many, many years."

Diam USA's existing facilities in New York City, currently located in Queens, the Bronx and Brooklyn, are now in full production and this facility will provide additional capacity for its growing business. Diam does not anticipate any lay-offs of existing full time personnel, as the facility will provide additional capacity for its growing business.
