We are pleased to announce the appointments of Jean Andre Rougeot to the position of CEO of Diam International and Bill Ecker to the position of Chairman of the Board. In his capacity as CEO, Jean-Andre will oversee all operating divisions of the company, and will report to the Board of Directors. As Chairman, Bill Ecker will be responsible for strategic initiatives, Board related issues, and new product and new category development. He will also assist Heritage Partners in the oversight of their investment in the company. Mr. Rougeot brings an extensive general management background in consumer products and the cosmetics category. Prior to joining Diam, he worked at Benckiser, a worldwide manufacturer and marketer of cleaning products and cosmetics. At Benckiser, he was president of its Canadian, British and Spanish subsidiaries before taking over as president of Coty Group Worldwide in 1993. At Coty, he was successful in building a worldwide mass cosmetics company through the growth of brands like Adidas, Rimmel and Healing Garden. Most recently, Mr. Rougeot was CEO of the Boyds Collection (NYSE: FOB), a leading designer of branded collectibles and giftware products. We congratulate both Bill Ecker and Jean Andre Rougeot for their new appointments and believe this leadership will provide Diam International with the direction to continue reaching its objectives as the leading worldwide provider of retail merchandising solutions.
